A Promise We Must Make

Ever since the birth of Haiti, its people have known nothing but hardship, misery, pain, and sufferance .  Coup d'état after coup d'état. Upheaval after upheaval. When men are not behind our calamities, mother nature fill the role with Hurricanes, floods, mudslide , and tornadoes.

On Tuesday January 12th, 2010, yet again were are trying to be survivors of a tragic earthquake magnitude 7.0 that will leave our nation with the greatest loss of lives in its vibrant history. We have loss so much, but it is a relief  to know that the entire world is with us. As Haitians, we must be greatly appreciative  of the efforts of the international community. Many of them put their lives at risk for our cause. We owe them our greatest gratitude. But more importantly, every single one of us must promise them that we will forever be an ally of peace.  That way, their efforts and energy will not be of waste.

During that disastrous moment in our history, it was incredible to see how we were able to come together to rescue and save many people as possible. Many of us were ill-equipped, but we dug the rubbles with our bear hands. It showed that we understand the importance and value of each life. We are hoping to see that attitude way after this tragedy is behind us.

In time of crisis, Haiti needs every single man and woman to come together to make strength (L'union Fait La Force) to overcome our challenges.  Therefore, we are making this plea to every single one of you, respect the life of each citizen.
